Using Valerian dates back to the Classical Greece. It was used as herbal remedy for support of the heart. I use it when I feel tension or pain on my heart (not to be confused with the chest pain that could be a sign of a heart attack), it is something that I learned from my grandmother and I'm sure I've benefitted from the knowledge and its use
