Gluten Enzym + Calcium Dr. Wolz supports the digestive system on a low gluten diet. Aditionally, it contains calcium and the digestive enzyme, prolyl-oligopeptidase, which helps to break down gluten.
The trend towards a gluten-free diet
An increasing number of people choose a gluten-free diet. They try to avoid products containing gluten, such as pasta and bread. According to recent studies, especially young women between the age of 20-39 are consciously adopting a gluten-free diet. Gluten is found in cereals such as wheat, spelt, rye or barely. Dining at home makes a gluten-free diet easily feasible. When you are dining out, in a restaurant or in a cafeteria, whether it is with friends or when traveling, it is quite difficult to completly avoid gluten.
The reference gluten-free does not necessarily mean gluten-free!
Even a product is being labeled "gluten-free" does not necessarily mean it is completly gluten-free. Oats, for example, are labeled "gluten-free"–because of the rule that these products do not exceed 2 mg gluten in 100 g. Products such as breakfast cereals or products made from corn, rice, potato flavour or semolina have a high risk of contamination, which means that it is very likely that they contain traces of gluten.
Support for your digestion
Besides gluten, many factors such as irregular meals, stress, little exercise and an unbalanced diet can influence our digestion. Gluten Enzym + Calcium is the right choice for anyone who prefers a gluten-free diet and simultaneously wants to support their digestion. The contained calcium supports the function of our digestive enzymes. Furthermore, it contains the digestive enzyme, prolyloligopeptidase, which helps to break down gluten. Prolyloligopeptidase has been tested by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and has been considered safe.
