The mineral magnesium is required for the manufacture of bone and cells, the relaxation of muscles, activating B vitamins, protein and fatty acid formulation, clotting of blood and the formation of ATP (the energy the body runs on). It is also involved in the function of insulin. Vitamin B6 assists the uptake of magnesium into cells.
